Outdoor Championship Achievements

Congratulations to our 16 archers who participated in the 2023 Club Outdoor Championship held this week. Despite threatening weather we managed to get some great shooting. We had recurve, barebow, compound and longbow archers at senior, novice and junior level. A good cross section of the club. As a result of this competition we now have 5 new club records. These are:

• Women’s Barebow Western 40: 88-522-15
• Women’s Compound Western: 96-828-79
• Men’s U15 Barebow Western 30: 80-410-10
• Men’s Barebow Western: 91-565-22
• Men’s Compound Western: 96-858-93

We also saw more badges gained. One of our most recent women barebow beginners achieved her 252 at 20 yards, a junior man achieved his Archer Third Class, and one of our novice women barebow archers also achieved her Archer Third Class.
