2023 Club Outdoor Championship
The 2023 Club Outdoor Championship can be shot on either Wednesday 13th or Sunday 17th September 2023. The championship round selected is the Western round. This consists of 4 dozen at one distance and 4 dozen at a second distance, using 5 zone scoring on a 122cm face.
Senior archers will shoot a Western round: 60 yards & 50 yards.
Novice archers will shoot a Western 40 round: 40 yards and 30 yards.
Junior archers will shoot a Western 30 round: 30 yards and 20 yards.
A novice is defined as an archer ‘new’ to the sport and in their first year of registration with Archery GB, the governing body of archery in the UK. An archer can elect to shoot in a higher or lower category and will then compete only with the archers in that category if higher, but if lower will not compete with archers of a lower age group.
Pre-event entry is required so that we can organise targets. As our secretary is on a well-earned rest at the moment, please email the Records Officer stating exactly which event you would like to enter and on which day you would like to shoot. You will then be allocated to a target for the competition. Please note that you only get one chance per bowstyle so if you shoot on Wednesday you cannot try to better your score on Sunday. You can, however, shoot a different bowstyle on the other day.
