The first shoot for our 2026 handicap competition will feature the National rounds on Sunday April 19th, followed by the Long Metrics on May 17th. Subsequent rounds will be Westerns in June, Short Metrics in July, Windsors in August, and WA 122s in September (dates TBC). These will take place as part of our normal Sunday shoots.
A National round consists of 6 dozen arrows over two distances, with 4 dozen arrows at one distance and 2 dozen arrows at a shorter distance, and uses 5-zone scoring on a 122cm target face. Archers can choose from the full range of National rounds. These are the New National (100yd & 80yd), Long National (80yd & 60yd), National (60yd & 50yd), National 50 (50yd & 40yd), National 40 (40yd & 30yd) and National 30 (30yd & 20yd).
If you do not wish to take part in the competition, you can still come along to shoot as you would any other day. We look forward to seeing you there.
