The Club Target Day on Sunday 10th August will feature the Long Metric rounds. This event will be run as a club handicap competition with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals awarded to those archers who perform best in relation to their current outdoor handicap. A Long Metric round consists of 3 dozen arrows at one distance and 3 dozen arrows at the next distance, and uses 10 zone scoring on a 122cm target face. Archers can choose from the full range of Long Metric rounds. These are Long Metric (90 & 70m), Long Metric I (70 & 60m), Long Metric II (60 & 50m), Long Metric III (50 & 40m), Long Metric IV (40 & 30m) and the Long Metric V (30 & 20m).
Scoring will be completed on paper and submitted to the Records Officer at the end of the round. Scoring to be checked and signed by another archer on the line. Archers can use apps to score but only after entering their score on paper. We hope to have a judge on the day to help make it more like a standard competition.
Look forward to seeing you there.
