Club Long Metric Round – 21st May
The club target day on Sunday 21st May 2023 will feature the Long Metric round. This event will be run as a club competition and therefore you have an opportunity to shoot for one of the new Bowman awards. Please check the outdoor classification tables (available in Documents, or on the noticeboard in the cabin) to see what is needed for a specific round.
A Long Metric round consists of 3 dozen arrows at one distance and 3 dozen arrows at the next distance, and uses 10 zone scoring on a 122cm target face. You can chose from the full range of Long Metric rounds. These are Long Metric (90 & 70m), Long Metric I (70 & 60m), Long Metric II (60 & 50m), Long Metric III (50 & 40m), Long Metric IV (40 & 30m) and the Long Metric V (30 & 20m).
Scoring will be completed on paper, checked and signed by another archer on the line, and submitted to the Records Officer at the end of the round. You can use phone apps to score but only after recording your score on paper. We hope to have a judge on the day to help make it more like a standard competition.
If you do not wish to take part in the competition, you can still come along to shoot as you would any other day.
We look forward to seeing you there.
