The club target day on Sunday 6th September will feature the WA720 rounds as the final round of our summer handicap competition. Usual Sunday times with targets booked on the day by 12:15 PM and set up at 12:30. This event will be run as part of the club competition and archers can compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals based on handicap. This allows us to compare across bowstyles, age groups and gender. Your handicap result will depend on how you compare to your current outdoor handicap.

A WA720 round consists of 4 dozen arrows at a single distance, and uses 10-zone scoring on a 122cm target face. Archers can choose from the full range of WA720 rounds. These are WA70 (70m), WA60 (60m), Metric 122-50 (50m), Metric 122-40 (40m) and Metric 122-30 (30m).
Scoring will be completed on paper, checked and signed by another archer on the line – ideally your partner on the same boss – and submitted to the records officer at the end of the round. You can use phone apps to score but only after entering your score on paper. If you do not wish to take part in the competition, you can still come along to shoot as you would any other day.

We look forward to seeing you there.
