On the 14th, the weather was kind with a sunny morning right up to the last few ends when we got a little rain. The morning saw four new club records:
The men’s recurve Bray I with a score of 30-249-7, beating his previous record with the same number of points but one more gold.
The U12 men’s barebow Windsor 30 with a score of 103-707-44, beating his own record.
The women’s barebow Western 40 with a score of 96-706-41, beating her own record.
The women’s recurve WA25 with a score of 60-461-4.
We had six new club records from the club Windsor competition on the 28th:
The women’s compound Windsor 50 with 108-954-101.
The U18 men’s barebow Windsor 40 with 100-476-9.
The women’s recurve Windsor 40 with 108-924-84.
The women’s recurve Windsor 40 with 108-792-44.
The U14 women’s barebow Windsor 30 with 107-749-41.
The women’s barebow Windsor 30 with 108-826-58.
Congratulations to all of our record breakers and many thanks to all archers who turned out to make a great morning shoot. We had the best ever number of club entries. You really did make it a great day. We had some tremendous archery with lots of personal bests. Special congratulations the winners in the handicap competition.
Finally, an absolutely massive shout out to our fabulous Backworth team at the County Clout Championships!! 4 entries and we walked away with 6 medals! Gold in women’s barebow and joint winner of the most clouts, silver in women’s barebow, gold in men’s compound and winner of most 3s, and gold in U12 men’s barebow.
Huge congratulations to our three gold medalists!
