The club target day on Sunday 28th September will feature the Windsor rounds. Usual Sunday times with set up at 12:30 PM. This event will be run under competition rules. This event will be run as a club competition and archers can compete for a gold medal based on handicap. This allows us to compare across bowstyles, age groups and gender. Your handicap result will depend on how you compare to your current outdoor handicap.
A Windsor round consists of 9 dozen arrows over 3 distances, with 3 dozen at each distance, and uses 5 zone scoring on a 122cm target face. Archers can choose from the full range of Windsor rounds. These are St. George (100, 80 & 60yd), Long Windsor (80, 60 & 50yd), Windsor (60, 50 & 40yd), Windsor 50 (50, 40 & 30yd), Windsor 40 (40, 30 & 20yd) and the Windsor 30 (30, 20 & 10yd).
Scoring will be completed on paper, checked and signed by another archer on the line – ideally your partner on the same boss – and submitted to the records officer at the end of the round. You can use phone apps to score but only after entering your score on paper. If you do not wish to take part in the competition, you can still come along to shoot as you would any other day.

In conjunction with the Windsor shoot we will run the 2025 Club Outdoor Championships. Senior Men will be a Windsor 50, Senior Women a Windsor 40 and Under 18s a Windsor 30. This will be optional for those who would like to join in.
We look forward to seeing you there.
